Job Overview
We are seeking a talented, positive, motivated, professional and consistent Assistant Property Manager for our current community rentals. This is a contract position. Our ideal candidate would be familiar with the affordable housing industry and compliance regulations of LIHTC & HUD. However, we are willing to train on some aspects of this position. As the Assistant Property Manager, you will help oversee the performance of multi-unit residential properties and ensure that owners’ real estate investments achieve expected revenues.
Responsibilities:
- Strong experience interacting with Landlord.
- Building positive relationships with prospective and current tenants.
- Overseeing the timely and successful completion of maintenance requests.
- Showing properties to prospective tenants and answering relevant questions.
- Preparing and executing detailed and legally compliant lease agreements.
- Overseeing all financial procedures including verifying renter income, processing monthly payments and executing default protocols.
- Creating organizational systems to support accurate record keeping, efficient financial transactions and prompt renter complaint resolution.
Long-Term Opportunity:
This could potentially lead to a full-time direct hire or long-term contract with our organization.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of previous successful experience in real estate management and professional services.
- Strong track-record of generating new business through prospecting efforts and expanding opportunities through existing relationships.
- Advanced technical skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and social media.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience building new vendor relationships opportunities locally and statewide via email, telephone and in-person.
- Excellent telephone skills.
- Strong sense of urgency.
